Abstract
- Two reliable methods for evaluating ethical issues of environmental research are the harm constraint and the dilution of natural value. The harm constraint addresses the balance between human need and its impact on the environment and non-human species. The dilution of natural value addresses the inherent worth of ecosystems separate from human need.
