New robust bleomycin analogues: synthesis, spectroscopy, and crystal structures of the copper(II) complexes

Abstract

Research was conducted to examine two new bleomycin analogues whose synthesis, spectroscopy and crystal structures were analyzed. Their Cu(super II) complexes were isolated and characterized by X-ray crystallography. X-ray crystallography showed that the successive replacement of hydrogen atoms by methyl groups on the carbon atoms changed the values of tau from 0.087 to 0.37.
