Abstract
- An experiment was undertaken to explain the mechanism of self-assembly of the neutral, discrete and octahedral osmium(VI) ester-bridged macrocylic box. Self-assembly was considered as an effective technique for the development of supramolecular species or receptors having appropriate subunits bound by noncovalent interactions. Findings indicated that the self-assembly mechanism supplemented the chemistry of discrete molecular and supramolecular assemblies mediated by the metal-ligand coordinate bond.
