Abstract

An analytical model for estimating the gain and performance of CW periodically poled LiNbO3 optical parametric oscillators (PPLN OPO) with strong idler absorption, strong pump depletion and thermally induced dephasing was developed. The proposed model also shows the pump and signal beam focusing effects for several singly resonant CW PPLN OPO devices through its incorporation of the Guha h(sub sm) parameters.
