Abstract
- A millimeter-wave heterodyne receiver using a Superconductor-Normal Metal-Superconductor (SNS) junction was designed. Its Current-Voltage Characteristics (CVC) were simulated as a function of its relevant physical parameters. The negative derivative range of its CVC to measure the conversion gain and reflectivity coefficients of the proposed device. Results indicate that it should be possible to increase the sensitivity of the SNS mixer.
