Abstract

The influence of lake hydrology on carbon dioxide and methane dynamics is discussed, based on research conducted at two lakes in north-central Minnesota, in the Shingobee River watershed. Topics include temperature and dissolved gas concentrations, lake CH4 and CO2 storage, methane oxidation, C gas flux across the air-water interface, and annual carbon inputs and losses.
