Abstract

Physical inactivity increases the prevalence of diseases. A significant decline is noted among female college students. This study identified factors that could be used to develop campus-wide physical activity (PA) initiatives to promote better health. Participants were diverse female students (N = 233, that completed an on-line PA survey. Logistic regression analysis with post-hoc pair-wise t-test comparisons revealed significant differences between racial/ethnic groups regarding moderate and vigorous PA.
