Abstract
- An analysis of the mercury loading in Lake Pepin, which is located on the Upper Mississippi River, can help described how the river has been managed over a number of years. In fact, the analysis showed that the implementation of pollution control efforts since about 1970 has had a pronounced effect on the amount of mercury accumulation in the sediment at Lake Pepin.
