Extended fractal analysis for texture classification and segmentation

A technique is presented for characterizing a larger array of natural textures which exhibit a roughness that is not strictly scale-invariant. The article also discusses a comparison of multiscale Hurst parameters and traditional Hurst and Gabor features.
