Abstract

Survey, archival, and observational methods were used to identify frequently asked questions (FAQ) posed by students in Introduction to Psychology classes. Specifically, the focus of this research was on students' questions not typically answered in standard Introduction to Psychology textbooks. However, most student questions were unique and not broadly shared across Introduction to Psychology courses. A follow-up survey identified three questions that Introduction to Psychology instructors wanted more fully addressed and as a result, the author with the help of relevant experts, created short answers to these questions. Results have important implications for teaching Introduction to Psychology and informing future research into frequently asked questions.
