Public values vision, leadership and economic stewardship in president

A survey of 976 adults, during Oct 99, looked at which qualities voters in the US considered a president should. Supporters of the candidates in the forthcoming presidential elections did not always agree. Many of the participants felt strong leadership and the ability to maintain a buoyant economy were vital.
