Abstract
- A study done by Frost and Sullivan showed that distributed digital process control system sales will increase fifty percent each year, until 1990 when sales will equal $3.6 billion. Of the forty vendors of integrated distributed control systems, Honeywell and Foxboro are the top two. The leading user industries of these systems are the chemical-petrochemical industry, petroleum industry, utilities and pulp and paper industries.
