Luminescent Langmuir-Blodgett films of platinum(II) complex [Pt(L18)CI](PF(sub)6) (L18=2,6-bis(1-octadecylbenzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine)

Research demonstrates the synthesis of an amphiphilic platinum complex with pyridine compound and its surface-active properties. Data indicate that in the absence of fatty acids, the complex forms a stable Langmuir-Blodget (LB) multilayer film, which exhibits strong emission characteristics and suppressed platinum-platinum interactions.
