Abstract

Results demonstrate that L-Ornithine N(sup)5-oxygenase gene of Pseudomonas strain B10 catalyzes the conversion of L-Ornithine to its N(sup)5-hydoxyl derivative. Data indicate that the gene is monocistronic with iron negatively influencing its transcription indicating to the presence of a siderophore pseudobactinB10 in Pseudomonas strain B10.
