Abstract: Pseudomonas fluorescens LP6a uses passive diffusion and an energy-driven efflux system to transport polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) out of the cell. The efflux system appears to be selective because some PAHs are transported out of the cell whereas others are not.
