Abstract
- This article investigates the effects of repetitive bouts of aerobic exercise on the fibrinolytic profile of peripheral arterial disease patients. Findings indicate that repeated sessions of submaximal treadmill walking significantly increased tissue plasminogen activator levels and decreased plasminogen activator inhibitor activity for over an hour after each exercise session.
