Abstract: A physical chemistry experiment using dibucaine has been developed for teaching students about simultaneous determination of the ionization constant and the solubility of sparingly soluble drug substances. They use the inverse titration method with dissolution of a precipitate and gain experience with potentiometry and spectrophotometry.
