Abstract
- The health status of female Alaskan natives is examined. The author maintains native Alaskan women have high incidences of smoking and drinking, consume high fat diets and are more likely to be obese than other women in the United States, and have high rates of diabetes, and argues that more research should be conducted in order to establish effective intervention programs.
