Abstract: A Bacillus amyloloquefaciens chitin-binding (ChbB) protein, which has homologues in related strains, has been found to bind alpha- and beta-chitin. ChbB is secreted by B amyloliquefaciens ALDO 2718. It cross-reacts with anti-CHB1 antibodies.
