Conformational analysis in solution of C (sub)2 -symmetric 1,1'-binaphthyl derivatives by circular dichroism spectroscopy and cholesteric induction in nematic mesophases

Research has been conducted on the 1,1'-binaphthalene-2,2'-diol derivatives. The conformational study of these derivatives via the combination of the chiroptical and liquid crystal technique has been conducted and the results are described.
