Abstract

Research has been conducted on the macrolide antibiotic cocanamycin F, an inhibitor of vacuolar H (super)+ -ATPase. The stereoselective total synthesis of this cocanamycin has been achieved via convergent route involving tetraenic lactone and beta-hydroxyl hemiacetal side chain subunits.
