Abstract
- Klebsiella species isolated from aquatic environments are just as likely as those isolated from humans to display virulence factors such as pili, siderophores, serum resistance types, and particular capsular polysaccharides. This was the conclusion of researchers who compared 123 Klebsiella strains isolated from natural surface water and 207 isolated from human tissue samples.
