Abstract
- A symptom-triggered therapy protocol was initiated for treatment of alcohol withdrawal syndrome, with observed decreases in length of stay, transfers to higher level of care, and benzodiazepine use, proving it more effective and safer in managing patients than fixed-schedule dosing.
