Abstract
- This article examines the class position of married women in Japanese society. The author uses the conventional approach to conceptualizing women's position in class structure, but also employees the individual approach and the dominance approach; the increase in the number of working women in Japan since 1975 is considered, as is family style, finding that male-dominant families are the most stable while female dominated ones are the least stable.
