Abstract: Research has been conducted on the di- or tetrahydropyrans with the vinyl side chain. The production of these compounds via the diastereoselective ring-closing metathesis or via the vinylmagnesium chloride addition to the functionalized tetrahydropyranone has been examined and the results are described.
