Total synthesis of (+)-ampullicin and (+)-isoampullicin: two fungal metabolites with growth regulatory activity isolated from Ampulliferina sp. 27

Research has been conducted on the growth regulators (+)-ampullicin and (+)-isoampullicin. The synthesis of these regulators from (-)-carvone has been carried out via the internal displacement of tosylate by the lactone enolate and the results are discussed.
