Abstract
- The American Booksellers Association developed the Book Sense brand name to help independent bookstores survive in a highly competitive market. The brand name and the slogan 'independent bookstores for independent minds' appeal to the most prolific book buyers and remind them of the importance of independent bookstores in keeping diversity in the publishing industry.
