Autoinhibition of c-Abl

Research demonstrates that the c-Abl tyrosine kinase autoregulates through interaction between its N-terminal 80 residues and rest of the protein. Data indicates that the N-terminal 'cap' is inhibitory in nature and without it the protein changes into an oncogenic protein.
