Preparation and structural study of the enantiomers of alpha, alpha'-bis(trifluoromethyl)-9,10-anthracenedimethanol and its perdeuterated isotopomer, highly effective chiral solvating agents

Research has been conducted on alpha, alpha'-bis(trifluoromethyl)-9,10-anthracenedimethanol. The enantiopure forms of this compound and the corresponding perdeuterated isotopomers have been prepared and studied via (super)1 H NMR spectroscopy and the results demonstrate discrimination for some racemic mixtures.
