Majority sees economy as weak, but most do not see it as getting worse

A Gallup survey performed Dec 4-9, 2001, found that 65% of Canadians believe the nation's economy has declined over the last three months, but 48% believe that it will stay the same for the next half year, compared to 29% who feel it will worsen and 22% who feel it will improve.
