Abstract

Research has been conducted on the quinol cycle for the cytochrome b (sub)6 f complex which incorporates 'Rieske' iron-sulfur protein domain movements. Results indicate that metal ions inhibit cytochrome b (sub)6 f complex turnover by restraining normal 'Rieske' iron-sulfur protein domain movements.
