Abstract

Many inner-city schools in the UK have international students, but the national curriculum often hampers teachers' efforts to include the students' experiences in lessons. In response to this situation, George Dixon school in Birmingham has created an international baccalaureate program, and Dormers Wells in Southall offers induction courses for foreign students.
