Identification of the metal ion binding site on an RNA motif from hammerhead ribozymes using (super)15 N NMR spectroscopy

Research has been conducted on the RNA oligomer mimicking hammerhead ribozyme metal ion-binding motif. Results indicate that this oligomer folds into a confirmation which possess metal ion binding property identical to that of the intact ribozyme.
