Abstract

Research has been conducted on the sulfide radical cations which stabilize via sulfur-oxygen bond formation. The structure of the sulfur-oxygen-bonded sulfuranyl radicals has been investigated via the use of the ESR spectroscopy and the results indicate that all S-O-bonded species exist as three-electron-bonded sigma*-radicals.
