Abstract: Research has been conducted on the N-[1-(phenylsulfonyl)alkyl]oxazolidin-2-ones. The preparation and the synthesis of these compounds and their utilization as N-acyliminium ion precursors in the reaction with allyltrimethylsilane are discussed.
