Abstract

The design and the syntheses of four coordination silver(I) polymers capable of forming macrometallacyclic, noninterpenetrated two-dimensional networks, using 1,4-bis(phenylthio)butane as a ligand building blocks, are described. In the solid state, all the complexes exhibit either 2D honeycomb-like or lattice networks, influenced by metal-to-ligand ratio, solvents, and counteranions.
