Abstract

Too much vitamin A can increase a person's risk of bone fracture, according to a study of 2,322 men. Men with the highest blood levels of vitamin A had 7 times the risk of fracturing a bone compared to men with the lowest blood levels. On the other hand, beta carotene was not associated with an increased risk of bone fracture.
