Abstract

Research has been conducted on Escherichia coli TatA amd TatB proteins, important components of arginine protein translocation pathway. Results demonstrate that transmembrane and amphipathic helical regions of these proteins are critical for their function and that C-terminal domains cannot affect Tat transport activity.
