Common extracellular sensory domains in transmembrane receptors for diverse signal transduction pathways in Bacteria and Archaea

Research has been conducted on sensory proteins encoded in bacterial and archaeal genomes. The extracellular domains found in various classes of these proteins have been studied, and the results are reported.
