The high-pathogenicity island is absent in human pathogens of Salmonella enterica subspecies I but present in isolates of subspecies III and VI

Abstract: Research has been conducted on Salmonella strains of all eight Salmonella groups. Results demonstrate the presence of high-pathogenicity island types in strains of Salmonella groups IIIa, IIIb and VI.
