Abstract

Regimental colors of the 52nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry. United States arms painted at center of blue ground. Arms consists of a bald eagle holding an olive branch in the right talon and a bundle of arrows in the left, with a scroll containing the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" in the beak. A shield with red and white stripes is found on the eagle's chest. 34 painted gold stars are arranged in two arcs above the arms. Below the arms is a red painted scroll with no text. Gold fringe, plied, knotted, 5 cm.
