Abstract

This study examines the distribution of time spent working, the activities performed, and the skill level required by nursing service personnel in the performance of their duties. This study was a subject interpretation that measured both routine and peculiar work activities of each category of personnel, during each tour of duty. The purpose of this study was to identify the amount of time nurses spent involved in non-nursing activities that did not require nursing skills, and the overall effect of that time on patient care. Keywords: Health Care, Nursing, Management.
