Abstract

This report describes a field study of the treatment of laundry effluents conducted at the site of a power laundry (family and commercial type, SIC 7211). The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a process employing powdered, activated carbon, a cationic polyelectrolyte, and a modified, standard military water-purification unit (ERDLator) for the treatment of wastewaters from power-laundry operations.
