Abstract

ELECTRONIC FILE CHARACTERISTICS: 3 files; MPEG and JPEG videos. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: 1 computer laser optical disc (CD-ROM); 4 3/4 in.; 65.8 MB. SYSTEMS DETAIL NOTE: IBM-clone PC-compatible. ABSTRACT: The free surface wave field and boundary layer surrounding the Research Vessel, R/V REVELLE, was documented using a System of nine video cameras positioned in optimum viewing locations around the hull The two week ship trial, from Christ Church, New Zealand to Pago-Pago, American Samoa took place in February and March, 2002. Camera mounting arrangements are shown, as are representative photographs from each of the cameras. The viewing system, as documented in this report, resulted in an extensive set of qualitative data of the wave system around the R/V REVELLE in both calm water and in sea states 2 and 3.<br />CD-ROM is accompanied by report in paper format. Report includes "Videotape Log Taken Aboard R/V Roger Revelle, South Pacific 24 Feb-07 Mar 2002."
