Abstract
- This vase was made by Walter Benjamin Stephen (1875-1961). It has a crackled turquoise outer glaze and a pinkish white interior. The bottom of the pot is marked with the words "Pisgah Forest 1939." Stephen opened the Pisgah Forest Pottery in Arden, North Carolina around 1926 and the pottery still operates today. This pottery was a gift to the Southern Highland Craft Guild collection from Margaret Decker.
