Abstract: Shell is made of dark, polished brass, with many intricate engravings including leaves, flowers, grapes, and abstract decorative patterns. Within a circular border is a flower, with "Bethlehem" inscribed above and "9. XII.17" below. Other images include a mosque, a depiction of St. George and the dragon, and an Iron Cross within a wreath. There is also an engraving of a 16-pointed star, reminiscent of the geometric patterns found in Islamic art and architecture.
