Abstract

Spalart-Allmaras (S-A) model is one of the most widely used turbulence models is RANS-CFD. The S-A model is of one-equation model type, where the eddy viscosity transport equation is solved. However, the S-A model is constructed by including his intuition, analogy and empiricism. This makes it difficult to understand the model formalism and to modify the so as to be applied to the practical problems.
