Abstract
- This badge is made of brass and features an eight-pointed star, flanked by two olive branches with a royal crown above. In the center is an image of St Augustine's Tower Hackney, surrounded by the motto of the Metropolitan Borough of Hackney: "JUSTITIA TURRIS NOSTRA" (in English: "Justice is our tower"). Below are the words, "TENTH LONDON HACKNEY". The 10th County of London Battalion, London Regiment was formed in 1912 to replace the Paddington Rifles, and headquartered in Hackney.
