Oral History of Tracy Minh Do

An Oral History with Ms. Tracy Do, born in Saigon, June 1975. Her parents are boat people, sponsored by a church in Seattle, Washington to relocate to the United States in 1979. She has continued to live along the California West Coast. She obtained a college degree in education at the University of California, San Diego. She mainly discusses growing up moving in and out of the enclave, feeling isolated from Asian American collectives in college, and butting heads with her mom about cultural preservation. She is a single mother, raising one mixed-race daughter. She currently lives in West Covina and works at the district level in Rowland Heights School District.
