Abstract

In a five-month period we gather information from 100 students between 14 and 19 years of college males Juan Bautista Vasquez, who suffered from recurrent headaches and migraines were considered. 94 percent of patients do not ask for professional advice and treatment based on self-medication. However it was found that 68 percent of the sample had headaches with aura manifestations [blurred vision, irritability, photophobia, nausea, vomiting, etc.] and 32 percent without them headaches. Some desecadenantes of headaches and stress, stressful daily activities, emotional changes, environmental and food intake were more frequent in the group with aura. Adopted drug therapy is based on common painkillers. The medidamentosas partnerships with migraine compounds are used minimally. The three-month follow-up was detected that the average monthly recurrence was not more than 1.41 is not equal 0.62 attacks per month. 50 percent of the group with aura had repeat episodes and only 12.5 percent of the group without aura [p <0.05]
